Interior HDR - Greek Orthodox Church

I'm not a HDR expert, but I thought I'd put up an HDR that is at the opposite end of the spectrum to Karl's earlier posts in terms of HDR'ness. This was from a job last weekend.
3 shot HDR, ISO 1250, 24mm, f/5.6, (1/640; 1/160; 1/40)

This was to tame the harse streams of sunlight coming through the windows to camera left. It was a hand-held shot on continuous.
I used Photomatix to create the tif; then photoshop for some curves adjustment and clone the people in the foreground back in from an original RAW file (the correctly exposed one).

  1. NICE.

The colours, tone and lighting in this one is reminiscent of the oil paintings of the 1500 and 1600s.

I'm leaning towards this "natural" style of HDR myself.

PS NOT FAIR- ISO 1250 AND MINIMAL GRAIN! I'm gonna try to sneak in a 5DmkII without my wife finding out...
